Garter Stitch Easy Knit Dishcloth Makes a Great Gift!
This pattern for garter stitch easy knit dishcloths makes dishcloths that are wonderful to use and to gift. They are garter stitch (knit) all the way through, with using yarn-overs and decreasing to give it a very special look. It’s knit from the corner, increasing towards the middle and then decreasing to the final corner. These are wonderful to use and to gift. Worsted weight cotton or cotton-blend yarn
Needles – 4.5 to 5.5 mm; finished cloth is approximately 8 – 9” square.
Cast on 3 stitches.
Row 1: Knit across row.
Row 2: K2, yo, k to end. (You are increasing one stitch and then knitting to end of row).
Repeat Row 2 until you have 48 sts on needle.
Row 3: K1, k2tog, yo, k2tog, k to end of row. This gives you a decrease of 1 each row.
Repeat Row 3 till you are back down to 3 or 4 sts again.
